Well, if you can understand Indonesian, this picture summarizes things quite nicely, doesn't it Hyo? Translation is nearly finished. I just have some UI elements and credits and things like that. All of the story files are done. All of the ending files are done. It's been a huge endeavor getting to this point, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm still waiting on Noel to get me the proofread translations. I may release my personal translations (with some stuff I've received from him already) as a pre-release / beta if I finish up everything. My translation isn't as good as his, but at least gets the point across, even if it is a bit awkward at times. I think I've done a reasonable job, for a bule.
I've modified all my insertion process to make it as automatic and painless as possible. CDMage is a necessary evil, but it makes it so much easier to work with individual files instead of one massive binary containing all the data. I just wish importing the files back in wasn't a manual process. But it's not the worst thing in the world.
I have progress bars for proof reading and testing. Testing has been done as I've built it, so it really shouldn't take too long. I do need to retest things to an extent when I get proof read translations back from Noel, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult. The proof-reading is essentially how far along Noel has gotten. It's a bit deceiving, since he's reviewed one of the biggest files first, but the progress is simply based off of files done vs remaining. He does have a holiday coming up soon, so I'm hopeful he can make some more progress there too.
At this rate, waiting for the proofread translations is the key factor. Once those are in, I think this can be released in a complete state relatively quickly.
| Process | Progress |
|---|---|
| Translation | 90% |
| Proof reading | 10% |
| Insertion | 90% |
| Testing | 0% |
